Storyline: With so much horror, “The Exorcist: Believer” is a really decent film. David Gordon Green, who previously oversaw a trilogy of “Halloween” sequels, is the film’s director and co-writer. Two young girls are simultaneously possessed, and the book’s main theme is how their parents and religious leaders come together in harmony to try to free them from evil. The movie at first appeared to be another exorcism film with a Catholic theme. This is a deception, though, and it sets up some funny gags. In the end, the movie chooses a more United Nations-style approach. The message isn’t, “The real exorcist is love,” but it almost comes across that way towards the conclusion.
